The taximeter in vehicle registration 161D30438 with SPSV 16872 has recently been repaired/altered/adjusted by Mechanic 24HR on the 20/11/2024 and now operates with Checksum Tariff 19504 as recorded in Legal Metrology Form TTI36744.
This taximeter is currently not legally compliant with the Metrology Act and associated regulations as the security seals are broken/removed.
To comply with the Metrology Act and associated regulations, this taximeter now requires immediate verification by Applus Car Testing Services Ltd., the approved NSAI Authorised Verifier for taximeters.

Section 13 of the Metrology Act, 1996 states that it is an offence to operate an unverified taximeter for trade use and the Owner and/or Operator is liable to prosecution. If found guilty of this offence, your taximeter may be removed from trade use and you may be liable to a fine of up to €4000 or up to 12 months imprisonment, or both. Legal Metrology have successfully prosecuted Taxi Owners/Operators for this offence and intend to pursue all non-compliances detected to the full extent possible.
All supporting technical information related to your taximeter has been transferred electronically to the Authorised Verifier by Legal Metrology. A paper copy of the TTI form is no longer required to be presented to the Authorised Verifier by the taxi owner/operator.
