So it won't be the first time you turned "rogue"?

It's still an if but, as above, you're correct.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Interesting.  Not so long ago you were calling me a rogue taxi driver without any reason to do so. Meanwhile you were illegally ranking all over the place telling everyone it's grand because the law wasn't being enforced.  And now it transpires that you've been driving around for years without the proper identifiers for your car. At least you don't rank illegally anymore.  Thank God you gave up breaking the law in that regard. One of these days you'll be totally legit. Like me.

I hope to get back to the informal ranks this year. I'm planning to increase my hours to 30/week with a late Saturday night included. However, the weather hasn't been conducive with work yet this year. I have no difficulty breaking rules where there's no enforcement and/or general acceptance that an element of give and take conveniences all relevant parties. Informal ranking in Swords, for example, is something I discussed at length with both the then Station Sergeant and Kathleen Doyle's then second in command, Jill Barry, both of whom suggested a degree of tolerance through light touch enforcement was appropriate.

When did I call you a rogue and why?

You're correct octy. I was caught going a tad quick on the long mile road at 2am of a Sunday morning and the next minute I'm a rogue taxi according to some. Meanwhile others have no problem breaking the law as long as there's no enforcement.  Strange eh.

Speed kills. If you'd like some professional driving tuition I'd be happy to help.

So does blocking roads at night. Pedestrians and cyclists in particular are prone to lethal accidents caused by your criminal behaviour.  Not to mention people in wheel chairs.

I'm not aware of any so attributable road deaths in Swords. If you have some relevant examples maybe you could highlight them and raise the issue with RSA or NTA.

True octy. The way I look at it is we're all a bit of a rogue from time to time. Live and let live and all that.

Brought my car up above to Dublin for it's annual LRA today. They've run out of stickers so despite the car being in perfect condition I have to make another trip to have the stickers applied after they buy some and before my current licence expires.

Apparently it's a nationwide problem. Is there any end to Applus+++eses incompetence?
I was talking to a fellow taxi driver who told me that he had to call back to the Cork PSV office today fer his Green windscreen stickers, but he said at least the suitability test was free because the first time he went fer his appointment there was no inspector there to do the test and they refunded him the 90 Euro fer the incovience !

I'm going to drop in on Wednesday after I get my meter sealed - it's two separate offices on the same campus in Ballymun - and if it turns out that I need another appointment I'll be looking for a refund of the fee!

It's a very simple process to get the stickers, 2 or 3 minutes only and no documents required.
