Gardai monitoring Hell Angels meeting at Dublin hotel
« on: January 11, 2025, 11:16:26 am »
Don't know if this is exaggerated or an actual thing to worry about but...

Major garda operation in place amid concerns about violence as Hells Angels gather in Dublin hotel

Quote
A major garda operation is continuing this weekend as armed officers monitor a meeting of the Hells Angels biker organisation, with over 300 members of the club present at a Dublin hotel.  Gardaí have carried out a risk assessment of the event because of previous violent incidents that have broken out at similar club meetings in other countries in the past two decades.  Of particular concern to gardaí is that some attendees wear patches on their jackets that indicate that they have used extreme violence, including against police.

Apart from armed garda units, public order gardaí have also been deployed on occasion to the location since the event started on Thursday.  Sources told the Sunday World no violent incidents have been recorded, but there is “absolutely no room for complacency here”.

With this in mind, there has been an increase in garda patrols at all airports and ports because of previous international incidents between Hells Angels and rival biker gangs at airports.

None of the papers/websites seem to be naming the hotel?

Is being in a biker gang a bit sad? hey look at me over here with my leather jacket, my mohawk and tattoos and Harley Davidson im really hard.  :P would they be as hard on their own? its easy act a big man when in a big gang.

I just saw 2 bikers driving through my town, they were in front of me for a while, not biker gang lads, they kept revving the bikes for some reason, especially if passing kids, a big cringey if you ask me.

Harleys are expensive bikes. They like driving around real slow making loads of noise.Whatever it takes to cure your depression I suppose.I'd never think of any of them as tough guys.Well not the irish ones.

They have really strict laws against them in Australia, no more than 2 members can hang out together and various other rules like that.
