I think it was such a novelty back then getting jobs on an app that drivers tried it and before they knew it were depending on it because Hailo were the only show in town and huge numbers of customers were trying it as well.

There won't be any united front. Same as when all the men weren't going to pay 12% or 15% or 20% or hospitality fees or car park charges and it'll be the same when it's 25% and 30% and 33%. I dunno why they don't just charge 58% and cut the rates they pay us by 63%... we'll pay whatever they want and they'll charge whatever fares they want.

Not a single offer... I left it on 'till 17.48... Fortunately I had a double driving lesson in the evening. Today isn't a whole lot better, one off Free Now and one off Uber (37 + 11) since 09:43.

I did make a major mistake Monday. Got a job to Bettystown from Free Now and forgot to put Uber on the whole way back. Sure I spend most of my fucking day rejecting Uber offers from that neck of the woods and everywhere in between! Ifn I was properly working I woulda parked somewhere around there and given it a half hour or so... but we live and learn (from our mistakes) I guess.

That sucks RC.This time of year I do better after lunch around town just driving where possible.I don't get many street hails but because everyone else is parked up in random locations waiting for airport jobs I can do ok.

Lately I like working a couple of days during the week plus earlier starts on Saturday and Sunday.Not making loads but I find the more hours I work the more fussy I get and fall foul of the computerised base controller.

If I was working properly I'd stay out between jobs. Doing it passively is extremely inconsistent, a decent job or two can make for a great day without feeling like you've gone to work at all... and then there's the opposite extreme!

I have no proof but I think the app punishes drivers that aren't moving.Also I've noticed when I'm already cruising around I'm more likely to chase jobs that I wouldn't drive off the rank for.

I also have another theory that if I take early part of the week off the algo will try to get you close to whatever your average wage is whether you deserve to or not.I have taken the week off only to start off on the weekend and clicked very nicely while others are parked up doing feck all.

I have a lot of theories these days.Too much time to spare..

Might be a case of how little do we have to give him to Keep the app running in case we need him... in my case that'd be close to zero, I guess!
