When I opened my Uber Driver app this morning I got a message prompting me to celebrate becoming a Gold star driver. Anyone else?

My offers from Uber seem to be dropping off the less I work it.My account has platinum wanker status.I think more Freenow drivers are working Uber full time and that might be part of the change.

Unusually the other day off Freenow I got a full fare long job to the edge of Drogheda from the city center but as expected zero all the way back unit I got to Ballymun.I only took it because it was quiet.Wasnt really worth much extra it in the end.

Does anyone use the areas preference thing on Uber for two hours a day where you can pick which zones you prefer to work?Is it bullshit or does it just offer you less?

Honestly, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to anything on the apps other than the offers that come my way so I didn't know you could restrict offers from Uber. I will have a look at that in due course cos it can bombard you with jobs that are miles away. That said, I don't know if I should be associating with platinum scum now that I've got my gold star!

There's another diamond level above again.I'd say the hard grafters are all on diamond level getting spoonfed everything.Uber does send out a lot of crap like medals and milestone pictures of birthday cakes in your profile but unfortunately you won't pay you bills with them.They are American after all.

Im platinum pond scum aswell so I tink thats why I get offered jobs an they disappear or accept them then I get the middle finger ... but I tink payin attention to any of this licky lacky arse lickin bull  shoite is for gibbons , immigrants an greedy cnuts wit no self respect...

I've actually just realised that platinum is better than gold . I think I was platinum last month. Not sure why the app thinks I should celebrate, maybe it knows I'm a working class socialist so assumes I'll be happier with a lower virtual social status. However, to get back to platinum I just have to collect 250 points according to the bottom bar on the home screen. I'm sure I've done that before so it might happen again but I'll not be changing how or when I work. Que sera sera...

Anyway, it's only for two hours a day so no great loss. You'd think it'd make more sense for them as well as us to stop sending jobs that are miles away, they're only wasting the Internet offering such jobs.

They turn up that radar radius wen the rugby is on or concerts or bollix i rekon ...its the biggest flaw on uber an counterproductive  stupit bollix ...i usually turn it off an jus do fukyanow an bolt ... wen its doin that

In other countries they drivers surge pricing during busier times so you might drive a bit further if the job pays a lot more.I dunno why they can't see that it won't work with taxis unless there's a l financial incentive.

If you were platinum, chances are you might have status protection which means you can reactivate your platinum level again for this period no conditions attached. To have the status protection you would need to have maintained your level for two periods though. If you go to the uber pro rewards page, you will see an item called “status protection “.

Of course my apps are up to date, Octy. How could one sleep at night with updates pending?

As per screenshots below the only Preference option I get is Accept Cash. The others must be only for ewes licky lackys. The Pro/Rewards page doesn't seem to have any option to restore my previous status, I was probably only platinum for one period, I think I was Blue Scum before that but thanks for the suggestions.
