Because I'm running a business and I try to keep my costs low. Because I keep getting (slow) punctures...
Also it was just a habit I got into with my old Octavia. Every 6 months for the NCT, I got 'new to me' tyres on the front or rear alternating. My
entire tyre bill for the year was €120. Now a
single new EV tyre costs more than that & the fronts only lasts 25k km. Fukk that!
You can't really go cheap with new EV tyres - you're paying for the extra weight of the EV and the quietness of the tyres because there's no engine noise.
P.S. When was the last time you saw a council roadsweeper truck? Fukkers
