Bus and FreeNow taxi collide in Dublin city centre
« on: October 01, 2025, 05:00:11 pm »
Two professional drivers, one with specialised  training.  The dashcams on the bus should be able to figure who was to blame.

Three people rushed to hospital after bus and taxi collide in Dublin city centre

Quote
Three people were rushed to hospital after a bus and a taxi collided in Dublin city centre this afternoon.  The accident happened on D'Olier Street in Dublin 2 at around 1:30pm on Tuesday.  Three people, including both drivers, were brought to nearby St James' Hospital.  Thankfully, none of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision on Tuesday September 30th 2025 at approximately 1:30pm on D’Olier Street, Dublin 2.  "Two drivers and a passenger were conveyed to St. James’s Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at the time."

Interesting.  "Two drivers and a passenger were conveyed to [hosptial]."

Always hated D'Olier St.  Too many comrades flying down the outside and trying to force their way back in once they turn the corner.  Elements of the start of a race in Formula 1!!

I tend to agree with you there octy. At first I felt sorry for the taxi driver. Poor man, out of work, possibly injured, traumatised etc etc. But then I seen the licky lacky arse lickin stickers plastered on the car and I immediately felt disappointed that the car didn't erupt in a gigantic fireball and yer man was toast. Oh well, life goes on.

I'd imagine that the car parking across road on a diagonal is in the wrong.

Could be a FreeNow pickup?  Does he have his hazards on?

Some of the banded cars work for Uber as well so could be either, I guess. I'm not sure if the Free Now depot knows that but I've got an Uber on a few occasions and it's been a Free Now branded car.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I kinda feel like the terminator when it comes to licky lacky arse lickers.  I don't feel pain or pity or remorse for these parasites. And I absolutely will not stop hating them until they are dead.
