Dublin hurlers 2026.
« on: April 23, 2026, 12:24:50 am »
A team that I'm watching closely this year is Dublin in the AI senior hurling, I think the 33/1 on offer fer them is all wrong and should be closer to about 12/1, remembering that they beat the mighty Limerick in not the pretty'ist match ever last year but they won it fair and square, all the other teams in contention have serious question marks about them.

I'll be shouting LOUDLY fer Cork on Sun, but I have my doubts, they got annihilated Twice last year in the championship, by Limerick in the first half of their first round robin game and again by Tipp in the 2nd half of the final, and again last week with the game in the bag they nearly left Tipp back in to at the end ??

Dublin beat Kildare yesterday so that's a start, I guess...

Dublin Hurlers are still 75/1 with PP, I don't think they will win it but should play well and be worth a decent online partial 'Cash-Out' before they face any Munster team.

I reckon a Munster team will win it this year but I have my doubts about Cork, they played well in the last 20 minutes against a 14 man Limerick team a fortnight ago and again last weekend against a 14 man Waterford team fer the last 10 minutes. But they can be terribly inconsistant often going AWOL fer long periods of time.

Usually a good omen if a team keeps winning even when they're playing bad?

Dublin (3-16) beat Galway (0-21) yesterday.
Dublin won the above match away from home, now trading at best price 30/1.

Next weekend is a big test at home playing Kilkenny, where they will need a win or draw to make the Leinster final against Galway. But either way they will still qualify fer the next round of the AI hurling series.

The Leinster and Munster hurling finals in 2 weeks time are great fer pride but win or lose all sides progress to the next series, with the winners of the above getting byes in to the semi finals. Only 6 counties remain.

Dublin again put up a 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' Gutsy performance against Kilkenny and beat them on merit, next up fer them is a highly inconsistant Galway fer the Leinster crown in Croke park, before the Real Fun and Games begin !

Dublin now trading @ 16/1, I don't see anyone but Limerick or Cork knocking them out of this years championship.

The 2026 format fer the last 6 remaining teams after the round robin series has been completed is;

Leinster Final; Dublin Vs Galway.
Munster Final; Cork Vs Limerick.

Both Winners progress to the Semi-finals.

The Leinster final runners-up play the 3rd placed Munster round robin team (Clare).
The Munster final runners-up play the 3rd placed Leinster round robin team (Offaly).
