It was €300 initially. The only concern I'd have with it is that you're probably being counted as a paid up member of the union it's associated with. At the pre-launch meeting I attended one of the bosses explained to me and others that they'd told the Minister that they have over 2,000 men waiting to block up the city if he does anything they don't like. I know they're well intentioned but they're also very inexperienced as far as dealing with Govt goes, in fact the man that seems to be running the union side of things is only driving a taxi for 5 years. If we were any good at protesting he wouldn't be! It's no coincidence that the EV grant money was slashed within weeks of their threatening officials and Ministers and there's no limit to the damage they can do to the trade in that respect.

That said, the co-op itself seems to be a great success and in establishing that they have done the trade a great service and exceeded all expectations. I do think it should be totally separated from the union though so men are free to subscribe to any or no union as they see fit.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I'm not giving out about the app or co-op. On the contrary they've done a great job with that.

Their website claims 1400 drivers.Dunno how up to date that is but it's very good going. Any links to the unions should be monitored and scrutinised. Why any unions need to be involved at all should be queried. How can I know if the union wishes contradict mine.

Apart from obvious costs savings Tapataxi's unique selling point is the fair distribution of the work. Many of us have worked under bent base controllers long before we became taxi drivers. We're naturally a suspicious bunch.

Looking at the list when you click on guests from the home page they all seem to be viewing different topics, mostly topics that haven't been commented on for ages... Most likely search engine bots indexing pages.

On average how many jobs a week do you cover for Tap .Im not saying it has no work but not enough to commant loyalty from users .Its at best an addon another app to compete with the other 4 your running .

"On average how many jobs a week do you cover for Tap"
I answered that for you in another location, and believe that it's excellent for two months, my answer would align with Octy's, and I can see that at last, in the face of the evidence you are modifying your position. The biggest danger to any attempt at resistance is "the split", but it's worth chipping in the aforementioned small contributions to give it a decent try at least until the AGM.

When the Co Op is ratified, it will be a stand alone legal entity . There is no onus on members to join any particular association. The ICOS move at their speed .
