Worst they could do is say no...

Penalise those naughty late payers (Enterprise Ireland)

Quote
Did you know that you [B2B] are entitled by law to charge interest on late payments? It doesn’t just apply to your Irish customers, as this is a European Union regulation. The majority of businesses don’t do this, perhaps because they don’t know they can, don’t want to rock the boat, or think it isn’t worth the hassle. But you can do this for any commercial transaction and you don’t even need to send a reminder first; you can start charging as soon as the invoice is overdue. The Late Payment Interest rate is currently 8%. This means that if a client was a month late paying a bill of €2,000 + VAT, you’d be able to charge them €16.13 in interest.

Still haven't paid my wages for week ending 21/06 and they're ignoring Help Chat.... got paid for the following week though... wouldn't be surprised if it goes into examinership/receivership sooner rather than later. Probably best to knock app payment jobs on the head.... although I know it can be difficult if a decent one pops up and you've been idle for a while.... just bear in mind you're taking a gamble if you do.

Freenow spending a lot on adverts. TV and social media costs a fair bit. If they lose the good will of any more drivers they're finished.

They always forget they've  nothing but software without the support of drivers.

They are playing a Race Game .They thought they had the Foreign lads sewn up because they did not know their way around ,But forgot they could learn on the Job .Fixed fares and 25% got the heave hoe last few weeks after gigs where no taxis were available and booking fees had to be refunded and free trips offered .No service Provider is Going to hover around a Gig Venue looking for the Customer .The review of Fares was supposed to Liberalize the Service Charges not the actual fares .The Booking fee could be a surge price but the metered fare is a maximum ..Why do you think there were so many new entrants offering lower or fixed Comissions .The Bounty will be in Surge Priced Booking Fees .UBER apply them with Fixed fares What you see on the Screen offered is not what the rider saw and the Same with Free Now .the booking fee is not limited the metered pick up fee of 3 yoyo is but any Tech Fee is not covered on the meter or by legislation .WHO ACTUALLY ASKED FOR THIS REVIEW ?

Don't know if they still do it but FN were offering guarantees about FN airport taxis or your money back or compo or something.  They must be pretty confident they have us by the bollox if they put out ads like that?

Plus they had over €10million in cash in the bank the last time they reported their (pre-Lyft) Irish financials.  You (plural) are deluding yourselves if you think they're going broke.

Google AI:

In its most recent Irish financial results, FreeNow Ireland recorded revenues of €46.1 million and a post-tax profit of €5.4 million. The Irish arm of the taxi app also paid out a €7 million dividend to its German parent companies, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, highlighting its strong regional profitability.

The financial strength of the Irish division has been a major pillar for the brand, which recently recorded a subsequent 69.3% jump in post-tax profit. The company continues to maintain a strong footprint in the Irish multi-mobility space, retaining an estimated 31 employees in the market

Uber tech fee is €1 per fare before discount. They discount the entire fare including the €1 hence the driver generally gets paid significantly more than they charge the rider. Free Now offer more ad-hoc discounts to riders but charge drivers 25% commission as opposed to Uber's 12%.

If the prebook numbers are anything to go on they're fucked-unless they have boxed everthing even more than normal to the stickers and stars brigade.

They literally had the game by the bollocks and fucked it away with their tampering with somnething that wasn't broke.
