Notably... 6 of those 7 fares were picked up outside of the areas covered by my SPSV Driving Licence which I guess serves to demonstrate how nationwide apps have expanded our horizons hence significantly increasing potential productivity.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Another one on my screen today for 15 quid and change, its a 21-22 run on the meter if traffics pretty good (which it is today). Theyre defo tightening the fixed fares.

I wonder do different drivers get different rates... I got 7 jobs from Uber yesterday... 6 of them were so-called fixed fares and they were all settled on the meter... although one would have reverted to the fixed fare had I not forgot to add the €2.30 toll:

Clinstown - Balbriggan (1pax) Meter 20.00 FF 26.62
Gormanston - Local (1pax) Meter  8.60 FF 9.88
Balbriggan - Naul (1pax) Meter 16.30 FF 19.45
Stamullin - Gormanston (1pax) Meter 10.60 FF 12.22
Gormanston - Dundalk (2pax) Meter 88.40 FF 88.13*
Dundalk - Local - Metered Fare.
Drogheda - Local (1pax) Meter 10.00 FF 10.42

* forgot toll so the 88.40 I input was separated to interpret the meter fare as 86.10 hence it was settled at that rate with the 2.30 toll added as a refund.
Clear from the above that the client can't lose, particularly when traffic is bad, as only the driver can lose. It's a despicable practice from UberAlles, and drivers who support it should be shot with balls of their own shite.

From the bloke who only stopped covering fixed fares because they didn't count towards the bonuses he chases!

Easy to say when you have a pension and rental income in your back pocket before you set out to take the bread out of the mouths of working class cab drivers, hungry cunt!

You obviously have no idea how the trade works beyond the pale. The meter is a relatively new concept and a lot of our clients aren't going anywhere without knowing what you want to take them there.

Any fixed fare done was explatory or a mistake. The rest of your post is beneath you.

I disagree. Are you still working for Uber yourself?

You come on a public forum inciting others to commit acts amounting to GBH that you don't have the balls to attempt yourself and you think my post is beneath me, gutless prick.

"balls of your own shite" was clearly a joke. I have made several references to many driver's financial need to cover any work.

A joke in your mind perhaps because you don't have the balls to attempt violence yourself and you find it funny to encourage countless morons who might.

This too has passed as an aberation in mutual respect. "aberration is a departure from what is normal, usual, or expected, representing a temporary or unusual deviation from the standard way things happen or behave"

Drink and tinternet aren't always the best combination. I read something that wasn't intended and reacted irrationally and for that I apologise.

FTR I have no issue with anyone driving a cab, pensioners, double jobbers, migrant workers, etc included. We've had all those discussions over many years on Roy's and on here and I've consistently concluded that blokes don't generally drive cabs if they don't need the income... and even if there's some that only do it because they like it or it suits them as an alcohol free way of socialising or getting out and about, so what, that's ok too. By point of fact the less hours any of the rest of ewes spend in your cabs the better for me... better a man does his 20 or 30 hours than rent his plata nua out to a full-timer with a load of childers to feed and educate...
