There's already a review of the dispatchers (the apps) and that fella from Cork who organised a strike was promised a meeting in Govt buildings (whatever that means)...

Nothing to be done from the NTA's pov I'd say. Plenty of taxis as per survey, customers happy as per survey, with supply, and with fixed fares as proven by customer choice of same. Net takings Mon-Thurs nights way down. Young people using pubs, and restauarants less in the suburbs at least.

1) Ban below cost selling. It won't last anyway but banning it would make it more difficult for any single firm to achieve market domination.

2) Restrict Technology fees to an amount equal to 33.333333333333333333333333% of the PUC.

3) Regulate for maximum base fees / commission either as a % of the fare or as a weekly/monthly subscription.... Just like they regulate for maximum taxi fares.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
