The Notification I got about Licences was signed in Jims Name but not on any Headed notepaper so I ignored it .

You clearly read it so you didn't ignore it!
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

You asked me that in this thread on 3rd October when we were discussing the protest planned for the 13th.

You only mentioned yesterday's protest/strike last night, after it supposedly took place. I reckon you somehow mixed the days up ifn I'm honest.

The day wont make any difference to me I wont be there .Never join another taxi protest .Would not work during one but would never support another one .Did that never again .

You have to read it to decide if you want to ignore it .You cannot ignore a Phone call until it rings .How would I know I ignored it if I never saw it ?

Fair enough. I'm of a similar mind. My days of protesting are behind me but, as previously stated, I agree with the objectives and understand the concerns set out by the men organizing next Tuesday's action and I will withdraw my service in support of their action for at least the duration of their protest... which is only two hours, to be fair.

That's all that was required of you... for now... although wherever Waldron pops up a whip round soon follows... Watch that space!

Placard on the left says "Stop Uber Fixed Fare"

Haymarket isn't that big.  Would you fit more than 20 taxis or 100 people in there?  And with Queen St on one side and the Luas on the other, the Guards aren't gonna allow big crowds to block those routes?

I can make up those posters on Chatgpt in 20 seconds. I wouldn't put to much weight behind them. And I certainly wouldn't change my work routine unless I was sure they were genuine and not being organised by Uber and Lyft and others to rock the boat.

The less we care the better off we will all be.

I don't know the area. Maybe they're not expecting a big turnout?

That's certainly an option for the men up above in Dublin. We have Tap now so there's no need for either drivers or riders to be ripped off. However, NTA has a statutory obligation to regulate licensed dispatch operators and a statutory obligation to promote competition. What Uber is doing is anti-competitive.

Don't forget... It was protest action that gave birth to Tap.

Or competition ? its not anticompetitive Free Now can offer cheaper fares .Sure some men lament for the old days and the £5 local fare .
