Ah Lippy I remember one time somebody thought I was stupid but it was only that  one time .A company turning over hundreds of Millions a year in Ireland and Billions in Europe .Treats its assets like this . I know Jesus when asked to carry a few sticks up a hill fell three times but that is not a Biblical  invitation to get it wrong .

rofl Left out the words. Nobody thinks you're stupid, John. Solomon wouldn't have your wisdom. Remember your "We're all consumers" vibe?...calling yourself an asset proves it.

They're probaby not gonna pay yis until the 4 weeks of the promo are over. They might not see any reason to rush themselves.

Edit....they said they'll pay weekly.happy days.

As you see behind my jocular protestations there is real substance .We are talking possibly about hundreds of thousands or Euros earned by Drivers who are in Limbo awaiting confirmation if they qualified or not .I can only reference my past experience where they had no record of me Opting in the first time and with the new experience of how amateur their tech system is as witnessed by its performance on Saturday I fear for present participants and also  feel there is merit in asking for a review of the decision to withhold my earned bonus from years ago as it still rankles with me based on the obvious problems with the tech .

I guess they do it for dramatic purposes, erm. Build the tension and speculation and keep folk typing... all part of this new fangled disruptive marketing.

Interesting from the T&Cs

Drivers who are identified as attempting to defraud the incentive will be excluded from this and all future promotions.

Strange that they'd contemplate accusing a man of attempted fraud, must be a lawsuit in the making there... surely a general right to exclude any individual without giving any reason would have been more sensible?

Indeed, but why tell someone they're being excluded for attempted fraud, why not just tell him he's being excluded?

Couple of clever lads got a few quid out of the opposition a few years back by exploiting the system ,Nothing illegal just exploiting the system .I suppose if you used your own personal account 20 times to hail yourself @ 4 euro a go pay the commission of 10 Euro and pocket the 150 minus the commission that might be construe as sharp practice but not fraud as the commission was paid .I wonder what constitutes Fraud in a form that would be upheld by a court ?

For some that were observant enough .Anyhoo I was wondering if you did hail yourself 20 times would it be fraud .... the intentional use of deceit, a trick or some dishonest means to deprive another of his/her/its money, property or a legal right.  As they would know the identity of the Hailer and the pick up and drop off there would be no deceit and no dishonesty as you were aware that they could identify you and no depriving them of their commission .

I doubt they'd notice it anyway,it took them 2 months to realise I was giving meself priority from my own app.Even then they probably only copped on because I was telling other drivers to do the same on the other channel.

Those were the days!

Given the economic upturn I prefer not to have priority these days. Between commission, discounts and free waiting time it's very expensive work. Less is definitely more!

I encountered a benny from hailo trying to recruit drivers the other night.
there was a hundred and one questions I wanted to ask him.
My natural instinct was to run him.
Bollix anyway.
