No holds barred: Eamo on Ireland.

Dunphy lets rip.

Eamon Dunphy launched a blistering tirade on the many problems he sees Ireland facing in 2017 during an appearance on TV3's The Tonight Show last night.

The veteran broadcaster began by saying that he was "not optimistic" about Ireland's future before going on to defend its people, saying they are "amazing" in how they deal with things.

He then said that the crash will "never end for our grandchildren" as there is €200bn debt still being carried by the nation.

The 72-year old soccer pundit then said that Ireland needs to declare a "state of emergency" before passionately listing the many problems the country has, from nurses emigrating to the homelessness crisis to hospital waiting lists.

He finished with a question: "What on earth did we fight for our freedom for? To live in a kip like this?"

Wait 'till he hears that mytaxi have increased fares by up to 56%!
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Was that on Tues night,i watched it then, like the new set up with Matt Cooper and Mr Bankrupt Yates,
I like Eamon and he does make some good points but is Ireland a kip?....he's right about the debt though and not everyone is feeling the recovery....maybe ask those who had their houses repossessed while the banks continued to overcharge on their mortgages...or all those who felt that taking their own lives was a better option.

He looked a lot rougher yrs ago. Think he may have curbed his wild ways. He's a breath of fresh air away from the safe and sanitised shite that pours out of Tubridy and the RTE feminist mafia.

Is Ireland a kip?  Ask the 3,000 children who are homeless.

Or the half million people waiting to just see a hospital consultant, let alone be treated... Figures below are July 2017.  Up 9,500 in one month!

https://www.rte.ie/news/2017/0808/895961-waiting-lists-health/
Quote
The breakdown of the national figure is:

- 493,780 patients waiting to be seen by a consultant at outpatients for the first time

- 86,111 patients waiting for an inpatient or a day case procedure in hospital

- 18,660 patients waiting for a gastrointestinal check

- 88,446 patients due to be seen in the next six weeks, or waiting for a scheduled annual check

- giving a total of 686,997 patients waiting nationally.
