Bitcoin
« on: September 23, 2017, 09:36:30 pm »
Any other drivers here interested in Bitcoin? I've been accepting Bitcoin and other cryptos in my taxi for the last 2 years, although have only had a handful of fares pay me with it. If you're unfamiliar with it, you should look it up. The world is changing and the next wave of innovation in technology is gonna be based on the blockchain.
It's useful for taxi drivers if you're not comfortable with card payments but also want to accept more than cash. It's peer to peer, no middle man or banks so nobody will never even know you have it! And on top of that, historically it has doubled in value every 8 months since 2009.

Why would you trust it?Might as well start accepting monopoly money in the taxi.

I haven't invested in it as such but I think I have a little in an account somewhere, left over from dodgy cardshare subscriptions and such like. Never considered accepting it in the taxi.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

The whole point of Bitcoin is that it is trustless and decentralised. There is no way to counterfeit or double spend it, and there is no single authority behind it. It is the first form of currency that is based purely on maths.

Everything is based on maths.I guarantee ya that it's being traced by some government somewhere.Ya can't be having criminals moving money around without keeping an eye on it.
