Yeah...I knew that Mercenary. I was being a smart arse. O'Leary opened a shop in Dublin in the late 80's, I think(?) after quitting accountancy to make it in retail. He opened on Xmas Day selling batteries at 4 times normal price to those Daddies and Mammies who'd forgotten them for the kiddies' toys.

Cool...it's nuts that he could have so much money and still be so greedy.I've had folks in the car who claimed to look after his livestock and they said he's a cnut to get paid from. They'd rather not do business with him.

In fairness to him, he remarked on the insanity of our Govt foisting children's' allowance and other benefits onto people of his collective wealth. I'd like to get Willie Mullins, the famous horse trainer, pissed to ask him his opinion of him after he pulled his horses from his stables over an increase in fees. Problem being, Willie and co are teetotallers....in fact, he insists on non-drinkers within his stables.

I was told by an employee that someone ordered sky tv for the rooms in the Dublin HQ and he was furious, made them cancel the order, then ring up the next day requesting they got the 2 for one offer Sky was promoting.

I know a chaps like him..you know the ones that will haggle for a rose on holiday not realising the gesture is lost by the haggling. Then they wonder why their wives are fed up.

Probably more to it than fees, Rich was getting all the attention.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
