Most customers aren't aware of it.Just explain nicely that many drivers stopped working the app.Tell them that it's not free to use for us.They'll be fine.At least they have an app that works instead of an app that had no cars most of the time.

Im normally unrated at the end of the week but I went Bronz last night and I was home by 1oc .I normally work Dublin 8,10,12 and a lot of fares are under a tenner but the pick up distance is short the 2 yoyo PUC makes a big difference .I might have a go at actually doing a full week next week just to see what the story is .

I'm usually only driving 1k to a job around town. The PUC is covering the 12% and time it takes for the passenger to come out. There's also the inconvenience of having to wait to get paid on account.

Its only inconvenient to wait when your first 4 teams win on saturday and your waiting on the Monday Night Football .Waiting a few days for account work is no biggie .

Older men like that rarely use apps so the fiver is usually close enough to the fare, just take it and thank them. I wouldn't fall out with anyone over €2 or any taxi fare, within reason... life's too short!
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Thats my sentiment as well rodent most of those pub hails are bus fares .Barman usually calling for locals .Handy for accumulating the bobo cover 6 or 7 at closing time .

I'm not with MyTaxi but I've had one complaint.

Apparently, the guy uses MyTaxi to get a taxi to turn up at his front door at 6.30am every morning and drives him to the front door of his workplace.  'It's f*cking outrageous' that MyTaxi would charge him €2 extra.  I agreed with him and (in my head) told him he should stand out on the Finglas Rd each morning at 6.30am  in his tracksuit and hail a passing taxi.

That'd show MyTaxi how stupid they are  lol

He got away with it for long enough.
any idea how much he's saved for that time.
That's how much the taxi drivers lost.
If he thinks it's outrageous ,tuff,
Get the bus.

The Mytaxi 2Euro PUC has changed things !

I seldom works ranks, but last week I joined a few ranks as 3rd or 4th car late at night.
Every time I was offered a Mytaxi job within 1KM (usually bar staff going home) and I
took them all knowing that the PUC would more or less cover the commission, in my
eyes it was better to take a Mytaxi job with PUC less commission, rather than to wait
Ten to Fifteen minutes on the rank fer a No PUC fare.
