Sorry but I you need a sat nav to find the Louie Fitzgerald hotel from newlands cross then it's not mytaxi that has an issu.....just saying isall...

Try unchecking 3D, Hal.

I think it emulates a sat nav in 3D mode so it's showing you turn-by-turn directions hence the pick up point isn't necessarily on screen until you arrive. With the flat map (2D) it keeps both your current position and the pick up flag on screen, zooming in as you approach. As noted above, it does occasionally over-zoom and the blue line indicating the route doesn't always show up.
