12 hour shifts are illegal for taxi drivers.
we all signed a declaration when we applied for our PSV driving license that we would only work  not more than 11 hours.

I totally agree Sclass.
The Mytaxi 'Bonus shifts' should be based on a legal 11 hour taxi shift,
instead of an illegal 12 hour shift.

Maybe they don't know NTA Taxi law about what is legal or illegal ?

No. You must opt in weekly fer whichever shift you choose.

No
Their moving the goalposts
Jobs up 15 to 20
Bobo down 150 to 100
Mote WORK less PAY

I'll agree with ye on that TD,
I wasn't impressed by the above at all.
But while they are throwing out discount vouchers to customers on a very regular basis,
it can be easy enough to get the Bobo most of the time.

To be fair, they increased the options. I'm sure some of the younger men would do 12-12 for the bonus and stay on for cash 'till 4 or 5.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I didn't opt in last week. I thought once I opyed it will get me whole 12 weeks. Where was it said that you need to opt in every week? I missed that. I was wondering why I didn't get e text this week.

Nice to hear from you again Swir, Welcome  ::cheers

The opt-in was based on opting in each week, or so they said.
But the whole Bobo thing just disappeared last weekend without explanation.

More work is getting covered since the PUC returned. They have sophisticated computer programs with graphs and Pie charts and all telling them bonuses aren't needed.

My experience is that the exceptionally profitable nights are the ones where you get more street jobs than from any other source
Trump has called for help, so I'm on a plane heading for The Strait of Hormuz, talk soon.

In general I would agree with you Harry, But fer the last few months Mytaxi have offered big Bobo to drivers,
and also offered Cork, Limerick and Galway customers 50% off their fare fer a full 5 weeks during the summer,
after that they passed out discount vouchers to all customers like confetti at a weeding !

It was easy then to obtain the driver Bobo, But things now seem to have changed, no more Bobo seems to
be on offer to drivers and I can't remember the last customer who told me that they had a discount voucher.

THE PARTY IS OVER !!

Because they pay more if and when a Bobo scheme is in place, a Bobo job with PUC will get ya a extra 7Euro less commission.

Everytime you're chasing bonuses when it's busy you're either costing yer base a driver because yer off the system or taking a taxi off the road that would have been available for street work.

Whichever way you look at it Mytaxi are artificially starving the streets/ranks and taxi bases of drivers who would otherwise been covering their work.I understand why you do it but there are other costs involved.Fiver a job isn't enough compo for the lasting damage these apps cause.Dont forget Daimler made 8.8 billion in profit last year.Drivers are only pawns in the bigger picture.
