It is but bonuses have offset a lot of it, so far. When the bonuses dry up I'll enforce my own cap at an appropriate level. I did ask you, on Roy's, for PUC AND a cap on commission, you delivered on the PUC so I guess you will deliver the cap in due course.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

At c.€3/hour it's still very expensive compared to fixed freight firms. If they want to cover peak work without bonuses they will have to cap freight. Did you cover 20+ jobs on Saturday 14th Oct - the only Saturday with no bonus in the last 6 weeks? I didn't.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

If they capped it at 80 bucks a week would you sign up for it.
How much would you be willing to pay per week if it was capped ?

They offered me that deal years ago.I posted it on Roy's at the time.I declined for reasons they couldn't comprehend at the time. Most of which are in the Perfect taxi app thread.I think some lads are still on it.

Ya they had a promotion a while back to cap the commission for a few weeks.
Can’t remenber how much it was but 50 bucks springs to mind.

€20/week would seem fair, JM. Let's not forget that the CEO has identified the data we collect for Daimler as HIS most valuable resource hence the firm is deriving tens of millions of euros of value from us before it charges us a cent.

I think the promo was called 'Base Buster' and was capped at 30Euro per week.

Neither did I, I covered about Ten to Twelve short Mytaxi jobs on that night.

Hence they'll need to cap freight to cover peak work if/when shift bonuses are withdrawn. A ton shift bonus works for me as it pretty much covers the week's freight. Now that we get full fare, the opportunity cost of chasing the 20 jobs isn't significant. However, in the medium term the firm would be better advised to encourage a degree of commitment from drivers without the vulgarity of bonus payments, a cap on freight may achieve that.

The Base Fee Buster.

"To celebrate the launch of mytaxi in Ireland, all mytaxi drivers can cap their weekly commission at €33 by completing just 10 peak jobs in a week. Peak jobs on both Hailo and mytaxi count toward the total.

The average radio base fee is over €100. For a third of that price this March, drivers in Ireland can focus all of their efforts on mytaxi/Hailo and see how much extra they can earn with Ireland’s biggest customer base. So why not give it a lash and give up the radio for Lent?

How does it work?
Complete 10 peak-time jobs in a week (Mon - Sun) across Hailo and mytaxi (e.g. 6 peak mytaxi + 4 peak hailo)
Pay a maximum of €33 in commission for that week."

€33 is too high.
