Do Shiners not live on average wage and donate the rest to the cawse? That's what the lads collecting the protection money polaticol dunayshons used to tell retailers in the city... until the Chinese lads kicked fourteen colours of shite outta them.

Celebrated by moronic nationalists both sides of the border...I've news for you armchair Provos...Copernicus rang to say...yez aren't the centre of the universe after all.

Sold out on taximen a long time ago when they campaigned to have men barred from driving taxis in the Republic Of Ireland on foot of convictions handed down by the British Judiciary, the same judiciary that convicted the Birmingham Six and the Guilford Four. At the same time they promoted handing out licences to billions of immigrants whose criminal records could not be verified.

What happened with the "bhoys" and the Chinks, Rats? I know a few Chinese lads and they tend not to involve themselves in disputes with natives. Machetes and Parangs tend to be reserved for their own kith and kin.

Legend has it that the boys went to collect the usual from a (former) public house on Parnell St and, upon reflection, concluded that they were out of their depth. Word on the street (probably greatly exaggerated) suggested that at least one was carried into the Mater with a small part of his body in a bag of ice. Rumour has it that the entire stretch of Parnell St that's now known as Chinatown, once a Republican stronghold, is currently exempt from donations.

I see. Funnily enough, I knew a guy once who started up his own brand/style of Karate(no joke). I know for a fact that he and his progeny attempted to "sort out" a few lads around that area. Rather stupidly he and his misguided acolytes turned up to a gunfight with a couple of bats and a copy of Bear Gryll's guide to survival in the great outdoors. Anyways....can't bate the Dubs for aul legends.

politicians irritate me but sinn fein especially irritate me.
they want to get rid of a bunch of elite self-agrandising power mad cunts that control the north so they can install their own elite self-aggrandising power mad cunts to control the north.

It did happen about Twenty years back, but it was a Ching-Chong dispute.

The reason that I know is because one of the main instigators of the Machete fight in Dooblin was a regular Bookie customer of mine, he was a good customer easily dropping a 'Bag a Sand' a week.
He did have a dispute with my assistant manager once on my day off, over a bet that was laid 'Late' while in Running, my young assistant manager refused to pay out and the Ching then put Two small pencils between his fingers, fortunetley he did take the Pencils out of his fingers before his attack, but he still stuck both of his fingers in to my assistant mangers eyes.

That's what they claim(ed) but who knows how much they get back in "expenses" after donating from their salaries... a lot of donations are in used notes so it'd be difficult to put any kind of reliable audit trail in place. Off the top of my head I recall one of their TDs raiding the Dail Stationary Cabinet to the tune of half a million Euros, presumably leaving his constituency cell with half a million Euros in used notes with nobody's name on it.

The '79 incident was a long time before the Chinese took over their stretch of Parnell Street, now known as Chinatown.
