mytaxi Hospitality Charge
« on: October 31, 2017, 11:09:52 am »
We seem to be handing over our hard earned for a lot of mickey mouse work e.g.

Avis Car Return Shed (I think it was Avis, mighta been one of the others)
Kealy's Roadhouse
Peacock's Public Bar, River Valley
The Manor Inn, Swords Manor

I find it hard to believe that Anthony Kelly was paying for this work, particularly the shite from Peacock's or The Manor. Is it the same all over the city or have mytaxi targeted C2k?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Many just ignore those jobs unless they have a decent destination on them.I've accepted them by accident then cancelled shortly afterwards.Just write not paying for hotel work in the text bar.

They should really reign in thier sales teams from chasing shite work that just clogs up the app during busy periods.

I generally ignore them myself. I've just noticed the bed logo on Peacock's and The Manor but haven't covered them. I covered the Avis? one and a couple from Kealy's while chasing bonuses.

Beaumont House is another subject to the hospitality charge.

They have some pubs I wouldn’t have a beer in.

They have a few rough shops up above in Dublin too but they're not subject to the hospitality charge.

Am I reading the app instruction wrong ?If it says did you add the hospitality I would just add it to the pick up charge as well if the customer asks tell them to take it up with the venue .

You may not charge more than the maximum metered fare. Your customers would be best advised to take it up with NTA.

Interesting Rodent but Im not sure what private treaty exists between the customer /App provider /Venue  If such an occasion arose I would just input my agreed charges as per fare card and would assume that the instruction to add the other was not part of the fare but some sort of private arrangement between consenting parties where I was asked to act as an honest broker as I recieve no part of this extra payment or incur no commission on same I was labouring under the misapprehension that this was an agreed stipend applied for services rendered by non taxi driving consenting third parties for a bespoke service .

They're asking everyone if they want a taxi with their pint now that they get €2 for pressing a button, MfH!

The instruction you get from mytaxi is to add €2 on the meter, erm. You have to confirm that you have done that hence they are placing the ball firmly in your court. Incidentally, you cannot charge the customer any more than is displayed on your meter.
