Can you get the meter sealed before the new rate kicks in? Those half starved bastarding cunts in NTA keep shifting the goalposts for everything. Went to book my LRA the other day and was told you can only book within 60 days of expiry now, used to be 90 days... fukking wankers.

Would have thought you could if it’s a duel meter.

If it's a DUEL meter, the old fare price FIGHTS with the new price for seniority! 8)

I was in SDA on  02/11, no software package available. I was told to ring Gary on Monday morning for info.

I failed the SGS due to a faulty peeling meter sticker. had to get a new verification form, resealing etc, cost €86.10 plus €30.00 for the full SGS re-test.
due to time constraints I'd no choice, or see my licence lapse.

I've heard of a few drivers failing the LRA because of peeling meter seals. It seems that the fault lies with the fitting/quality of seals used by legal metrology. Maybe you should sue legal metrology for the cost incurred?

Im sure no Im probably certain that none of the Representative bodies in the industry have asked if there is any adhesive standards required by the standards authority for the stickers to be affixed by a branch of the standards authority to a conforming taxi meter and if any certificate of conformance has been issued to certify that the stickers that are stuck on actually conform to any standard applicable to the adhesion quality of the stickieness of the stickers .As you so eloquently observed if the adhesion of the affixed sticker is lacking in stickiness then the standard authority should stick on mew replacement stickers .

Yes. Centres  can test and seal newly programmed meters BEFORE new rate kicks in.

You should’ve touched them up with a smidge of glue beforehand, works for me.
