Incar cameras

And some thought I was mad when I objected to mandatory in car cameras ..New passport machines are operational at Dublin Airport as of 8am this morning, the Department of Justice has confirmed.
The machines, which can be used by Irish and EU travellers over the age of 18 with e-Passports and Irish passport cards, have been introduced in an effort to enhance security and speed up passage through the immigration process.
The gates provide automated passport and security checks on "by using advanced facial recognition technology and integration with national and international watch lists," according to the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS), which operates border controls at the airport.

They follow a trial period which ended last April.

Imagine if you have Peter the Pig or Jonny the Joker in your car and the camera recognized him and Armed Garda swooped on you to get him .

If we had of got them in car they could link then to the meter to control working time and identify the driver but my concern was if a wanted person was in your car would they swoop on them .BIG brother is real .A pal of mine does security work in town and he told me a lot of the big shops and shopping centers have a data base of shoplifters and those cameras in store and if a known lifter enters your store you get notification on your phone .

It's cheaper to have cameras on entry points than ten armed cops hanging around the outskirts of the Airport screening cars.More automation really.

Its not just at airports .The reason they want everybody to have a PPSI card or driving licence or passport is to build a data base .Facebook do the same asking you to tag your mates in photos .AS I posted on Roys years ago Mytaxi /UBER /ADD NAME will pick you up drop you off using logarithms they will know roughly your destination and lets say you normally get dropped off at a restaurant when they send you a conformation message when your cab is on the way it will come with some restaurant recommendations in the area you are going to .Might be a bit of a problem if you are taking your hen to the pictures and they recomend the local bordello or brothel .
