They are but they tend to be more subtle. A good few women have told me they always cancel if the app (presumably, mytaxi) sends them an immigrant. I actually had to do that myself once as one of the men who was sharing the cab was adamant that he wouldn't travel with an immigrant.

Which one ? You?

No. I've travelled with immigrant drivers on a number of occasions both from ranks and via eHail. I've never experienced any of the problems I hear clients complain of... it doesn't matter to me whether they know where they're going or not, if I don't know myself I have satnav on my clever phone and I've yet to be raped or murdered.

also sometimes you don't get the job but you still get the navigation to the job .

I noticed that one, too. Only solution I found was to close the app and open it again.
I figured that out. I have noticed that I'm arriving for some jobs lately only to see punters jumping into another cab or another cab arriving with me .It happened this morning  and I deftly blocked his exit  while I rang the passenger then he jumped out and into my car. he said the driver said he was MyTaxi but was guessing (wrongly) the punters name. I figure that he missed the job but still got the navigation to it  so he thought he would head on up and poach it. It could be more of an issue in January. I think I've lost  3 or 4 jobs this way since the update. Mount Street Mob take note!

people always say that to me.
"I ordered a mytaxi but I'm getting in your car."
Is the person penalised or do they get charged a cancellation fee for not waiting on the mytaxi car they ordered?

No I don't think they are penalized(they should be ).This particular  punter came out of his house which the other car had driven straight to right in front of me. and he had booked to pay on account so he wanted the right car. W@nkers who don't bother wait for cars that the called and don't even bother to cancel, phone or even answer the phone when you call them are not the kind of punters I want, so I usually block them straight off.

They're not penalised but the driver ought to be compensated. However, since mytaxi automated payment of no contact fees I've had two that weren't paid. Hence it is no longer viable to use at peak times save when bonuses are available.

Is anybody having the map freeze? I'm having this issue and the map just stops and leaves me stopped in a location I passed through 20 mins before hand then I get job offers from that location. The only way to resolve is to shut down the app and restart, crazy time of year to make such a major upgrade.

Had that once or twice on the old system. In my case switching location off and back on solved it.

Another irritating bug... the navigation isn't muted when you receive a phone call. Your wan telling you to go this way and that way while the client is trying to explain where she really is... all for the want of two lines of code.
