Once the phone rings the mute button isn't on screen as the voice call app's interface is displayed prompting me to swipe right to answer the call and then press the speaker button so I can hear the caller without unhooking the clever telephone from the air vent... once that is done the client is talking interspersed with the sat nav virtual woman's directions so my attention is immediately divided between driving the motor car and conversing with the client. To start fiddling about with the telephone to get the mytaxi app back into the foreground to press more buttons would present yet another unnecessary distraction.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

They're not penalised but the driver ought to be compensated. However, since mytaxi automated payment of no contact fees I've had two that weren't paid. Hence it is no longer viable to use at peak times save when bonuses are available.

In general it takes about Two or Three minutes to establish that it's going to be a 'No-contact'.
Fer myself, I sit and wait it out fer the remaining few minutes.
After 5 minutes pass I cancel the job with a "No show" explanation.
And then go to "Job history", click on last job, then click on
"Issues with my fare", another screen pops up.
I click on "Request a cancellation fee" and I am prompted to enter the
word 'Scrub' in the box provided.
I do so and are always/almost paid my Fiver Scrub fee.

To be fair to MyTaxi, I had One kount who cancelled after 4 minutes and 55 seconds,
and after I sent feedback to them, they still paid me the Fiver Scrub fee.

As far as I know you are entitled to your scrub fee once you have arrived at the pick up place and the customer cancels, you only have the 5 minute stipulation if it's you cancelling and not the customer, that's the way I think it works.

That's the way it works for me. One of the two that were refused was down to slow interweb resulting in job duration being shown as 3 minutes on the job history list despite the counter recording 5 minutes before I cancelled. Fukk knows why the other wasn't paid but interestingly both were on the first day or two of the new automated system. All (probably 6 or 7) have been paid since.

If not the customer could have you drive to their house from wherever and leave you sitting outside for 4 minutes and 59 seconds then cancel with no charge,so as long as you've pulled up outside the address and hit arrived you've done your part of the bargain.

NTA website quotes it at 170 to 200,
but I suppose 250 would be closer if you went via Cavan !
