Holding his leg could be construed as utilising unreasonable force to detain him whereas, unless you made a citizens arrest, the appropriate course of action would arguably be to use reasonable force to remove him from the vehicle.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I have a long handled lump hammer in the boot in case I need to use reasonable force to remove a wheel or the likes .

I'd be more concerned about him claiming off your insurance. They're paying out for all sorts just so they don't need to go to court. With or without your consent or admission of liability.

you get a lot of these cunts this time of year.
they have the hump because 10 cars have driven by them.
you're good enough to stop for them, and then they launch abuse at you over their tale of woe.
out you go ye cunt.

Yeah, the app was shite last night, offering me jobs long after I had pressed busy, over a minute in 2 cases to accept the inputted fare, at one stage I turned it off and when I logged back on it showed me I was on a job 16km away!!! For Ireland’s largest dispatcher (by a country mile) this shite really shouldn’t be happening.
On a side note, I recently got a job at a hotel, guy came out, well pissed, said “we’ll be a few mins bud, start the meter”... I did, and pressed “passenger onboard “ a few mins later he returned with a fresh full pint and said “we’ll just be a few mins bud” I was pissed but waited as the meter was running, then he came back out and started getting sick in from one of my car, I took off, couldn’t cancel the job as I had pressed passenger onboard, couldn’t Claim scrub and had to input a few € to clear myself, that shite wouldn’t be long making you turn off when it’s busy.

Totally agreed.
You can't cancel the job after the 'Passenger on board' has been pressed.

I had a fare going to a Debs or Grads last year where the young customers
kept opening bottles of beer within the cab.
I gave them Two warnings which they didn't heed and then I put them out of
the cab and had to cash it in fer a few Euro.

I did send in feedback and wasn't charged commission fer the fare.

yes

Nice one, how much did you get? I got the ton myself despite covering a fair bit of street work, worked 18:54 - 04:21.

Only the minimum but 4 scrubs .A few jobs when I turned up there were other cars there so assumed if there were three people with the app they all hit it and first car got the job I rang but got no answer so waited 5 and requested scrub .
