It's always been as quick to walk from the green to Abbey street than go by bus/car.It's only about 1200 meters. Why did they assume the Luas would be much faster?

They've signs around the Cabra petrol station pointing towards the Luas stop in Phibsborough/North circular road. Why the hell would ya walk 10/15 mins to the tram when there are bus stops every few hundred meters going into town also.Seems like they're trying to push the Luas on folks who don't need it.

Anyone in planning who couldn't see that College St/Green was gonna be a bottleneck needs their eyes examined, even before the Luas project was started and we had two lanes it was slow enough if Dublin Bus are going to continue with having 4,5 even 6 buses travelling bumper to bumper around that corridor it's always gonna be a nightmare, even if they reduce their service by 20%,that'll just reduce the frequency of the bumper to bumper antics...that will continue.

Taking cars out of College Green would be a step in the right direction. What has been delivered to date is a long way from the promises made to Dubliners in the artist's impression.
