Did a super shift, first time in years, 17 hours with two tea breaks, job to job no hassle, snow slowed it down towards the end but punters tipped well and were grateful as no taxis to be had.
Seen a few of the new Irish skidding or stuck, they mustn't know how to drive in the snow. Not that I have a lot of experience but knew to use gears to slow down, no sudden movements and high gear with low revs, plus I put second hand German all/four season tyres on the front before the beast hit last week, don't know if they made any difference but I tipped away past me usual 3 am finish until 6.30am, bit slower but never empty. If only every day!
Have to say impressed the way the Peugeot WAV rental handled and happy as a pig in shite until I made a classic error, didn't separate me takings and punter handed me €20 for a €9.60 fare, said just give me the ten back, later I counted me takings again and noticed I only had 2 nifty's when I had 3 nifty's earlier on, gave the punter a €50 instead of a €10. Still pissed off at meself!
