i dont know about you octy, but my reasons are my national identity, my culture, and heritage have all been lost as a result of our liberal open border policy.

the only people who are constantly telling me i should welcome foreigners to Ireland, are well healed politicians, and business men who want avail of the cheap imported labour.

these politicians , some of whom enjoy multiple state pensions , and face no threat to their livlehoods as a result of the arrival of foreigners, we on the other hand, work  in an industry which has been desimated by the influx of foreigners some of cannot even speak English, and none of whom are properly vetted.
so its easy to say welcome them when your livlehood is not affected

Dollymount have you noticed the evolution of the Irish economy .When Britain are out of the EU France Germany are comming after us for being Dirthy Sleevien Two faced Scumbags Filth .Because that is how we are viewed in Europe as Tax Cheats who have robbed every other European Country of their Rightfull Taxes but what really annoys Europe is we are dumb Cunts we stole their taxes and handed it back to the big companies we didnt even have the sense to keep it for ourselves .The IMF and the European Courts are trying to get us to take our Billions back from Apple but we dont want it .When we lose the apple case and they force us to take the money a lot of Tec companies will fuck off out of here as the tax deals they got willbe gone .We are planning for after the Tec exodus and most of you see it but dont notice it .They are doing what they did in Fudal Ireland when they forced the homesteaders off the land and what the did in the 60s and 70s to clear out the Tennements to make way for shops Offices and leisure .In a City that has huge homelessness we are building thousands of Student accommodations .Dorset Street Thomas Street,Gardner Street out by Belfield and the new Grangegorman Campus .We are getting ready for the change over from High Tec jobs to selling Education and Tourism.When I was a Kid there were only two Universities in Ireland UCD and Trinity now there are loads and the Government are going to give University status to the Institutes of Education .The idea being we let foreign nationals come here for their education they will pay and bring spending money with them and in the Summer when they are gone their accommodation will accomodate Tourists .The important thing is to have this accommodation close to the shops and spending zone .As in the City so ordinary families will be forced out of the Economic Zone by high priced homes .Dollymount I think you have a Poets view of the Emerald Isle .Its a backward kip most towns outside of Dublin Cork Galway are little more that roads to build pubs on with subsistance farmers Super Value or Lidil shops and Kids going to school trying to get an education so they can excape up to Dublin where they will pay two thirds of their wages on rent and que for hours to go to Coppers to get a taste of home that they both hate and Miss at the same time .Kids that use to learn the Tin Whistle off their grandas and practice for hours are now spending those hours playing Grand Theft Auto 5 or watching Gay Porn on Blue Tube as they think its natural .You ask them do you listen to Irish Music they go Fuck off I hate Boyzone

Our current Taoiseach is the son of an immigrant. The threat to their jobs is there, they just haven't noticed it yet. All the shiny new schools with state of the art facilities are Educate Together or (colloquially) "black" schools. Ironic really, if Educate Together didn't exist the immigrants would have to go to the "white" schools and all the kids would be educated... well ... together.
