Copped it in Portmarnock this morning. Was wondering why the night was quieter than normal.

I had a 4.30am MyTaxi prebook in Ballincollig (satellite town 10km outside Cork) on Sat morning going to the airport, when I arrive in Ballincollig the Main street is closed off fer the Walk in to Light thing, I tell the steward of my job and show it to him on my phone.
He gets on the Walkie-Talkie to some one explaining my situation to them, then a Garda squad car arrives at the Stop off point and ask's me where I'm going ?, I tell him;"I've an airport pick-up at the Old Quarter", he sez; "Follow me" and puts on his flashing blues to wade through the sea of runners coming against us. As we are now a few minutes late on the job my customer is standing out on the street waiting fer me and slightly bemused to see his taxi driver arriving with a 'Blues Flashing' Garda escort.

Day 3 underway. Pakistan 297-7 1st innings, Ireland having won the toss and electing to bowl.

Sky Sports coverage for the day has switched to red button and Sky Go app. For those who steal their Sky via IPTV it's live on PTV Sports (pakistan) with English commentary (Sky Sports commentary team).

If Ireland are forced to follow on are you going tomorrow ? If Pakistan can get to 350 and declare by lunch today .It might be watchable tomorrow from the Pavilion with Pints and peanuts .

The Situation is fluid Anto If Pakistan can get a big first innings total and then bowl Ireland out and force the follow on then Pakistan should win if they dont thenI havent a clue  I hope this helped

No, I'll watch it on TV erm. Might go to one of the T20s (vs India) in Malahide next month. AFAIK, the temporary grandstand will still be in use.

It's at a quite exciting stage now, Tony. If there's no flurry of wickets in the next few hours one would imagine Pakistan will declare around 350 which, weather permitting, would make them favourites to win.

Three wickets so far this morning, Pakistan 306-9... should be bowled out very soon. Both teams will probably be happy enough, Pakistan probably had 350 in mind at the start of the day's play but they'll still fancy a win. Hopefully the weather will allow Ireland to bat for the rest of the day!

It's Pakistan V Ireland in cricket, which is kinda like Real Madrid V Laois Utd in soccer !

It's anyone's guess who is gonna win !

Pakistan declared at 310. Could be a draw, Ken?

We beat Pakistan in the 2007 World Cup (ODI), causing their elimination from the competition. You might remember their coach (Bob Woolmer) was found dead in his hotel room in the wake of that game. A murder investigation followed but an open verdict was the eventual conclusion.
