When an insurance co refused to quote you, you were(maybe not now) entitled to go in to them and ask for a letter detailing their refusal. This might not be the case nowadays with all these new EU regs governing data.

Probably 'cos it's a taxi. Anecdotal evidence suggests that a lot of crashes involving taxis are staged.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Is Insurance Ireland the same as the Ombudsman?Few years ago I had an issue with a claim that Royal sun were delaying payment on and after calling the Omnibusman they had the contacts to get the cheque out in a couple of days.

Angus Mcanally from RTE did actually ring me back.he toldme he had been in touch with allianz.my whole problem with this is,why am I being penalised for an accident rhat was not my fault ? Kennco my insurers at the time, said I still have my full NCB ,and any money they paid out would not effect that. They paid out 607 euro and went through MIBI protacol

Sad to see it, but the only way to get any justice in this country, is to contact a radio station to act on your behalf.
They then 'Shame' whomever in to paying up or be shamed live 'On air'.

Or you can shame them on Twitter. They don’t like that at all
