Need the help of a taxi driver

Hi guys,

I am desperately looking for someone to help me to get some of my stuff back to Germay.

Here is the story:
My girlfriend and I hired a car in Dublin. On the last day in Ireland we lost the keys and had to leave some of our luggage behind in the car as we couldn't open it. Now the stuff is in a car rental department in Dublin 8. Unfortunately, the are not willing to send the clothes back to Germany as it is too much "trouble" for them. As I do not know a soul in Dublin, I am running out of ideas of whom to ask. Some of the best conversations in Dublin I had with taxi drives, thus I will try my luck here to find someone who can help me to pick up that luggage put it into a carton box and send in to Germany. Of course, I will compensate for the trouble you might have!

I really need your help. If you want to help me, please contact me.

Sending a package in the post is one way of transporting illegal contraband and all the risk is on this end.

Are you crazy ? You are seriously expecting someone on this forum to send stuff to Germany to somebody we dont know ? Do you think we are insane ?

The clothes aren't in a package! You would get them loosely and put them into a package. It's two pairs of hiking boots and two jackets. Nothing illegal!

I'm not a Dublin driver but if I was then I would look after your request Helpseeker.

Surely one of you Pale Mongs will help this gentleman out.
Let's price it up, 30Euro fare to collect the items, (obviousely check them fer contraband),
put em in a box and seal it 20Euro, postage to Germany I'm guessing at 30Euro and if he is
willing to add 70Euro on as a goodwill gesture to bring it to 150Euro and pay it in advance
by Paypal or bank transfer then surely one of ye would be interested ?

Is 150Euro OK with you helpseeker ?

He sounds genuine enough to me El Tonio, if'n he agrees to the ton n a half and
agrees to pay in advance without bringing anything further to the table, then I would
suggest that ya do the fella a favour, but lets see if he agrees to my proposal First though.

If their is a scam here, then I can't see it.

Also there is the time issue involved fer the driver in the email/texts back and forwards of
firstly getting some kind of clearance from the customer to the rental company to release
the goods to the taxi driver and getting his address and whatever else might go on..........
It won't be an easy job !

Sounds lazy to me.....
Yu arrange wit a courier to pick it up an be delivered 2 workin days
Be about 20 quid......

Maybe he thought some 'Good Samaratin' Taxi driver might do it fer a Score ?

If'n he is willing to pony up 150Euro, then I reckon some one will take it,
I can't see anyone doing it fer less than that.
