It will be interesting to see what happens once Fosters gets closed combined with the impact of us losing various ranks to the Luas when things go quiet again.I have to admit in recent years I'm doing more robbing at the airport.Seems to be lots of work at T1 arrivals and rarely any taxis. In a way it's their own fault for operating a closed shop...I'm the victim here considering they fukked the permit waiting list in the bin.

It does be hopping on Sunday and Monday evenings. No taximan worth his salt is gonna drive away without a fare. The security men don't seem to give a fuck once you're Irish by accident of birth. If approached, be honest... tell them you're loitering with intent. At worst they'll laugh and ask you to move on.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

People just walking up to the car when yer dropping off is becoming more common. In the last few weeks there have been customers waiting on cabs at T2 almost everytime I drop off. It's a difficult place to navigate if you've just gotten off a long flight so ya can't blame them.

I told Mrs Bullet I've got a return job tonight from T1 at half ten.
I told her I was picking up a Brasilian, she asked " How many is a Brasilian?" 8)

Different cultures. There was a few tourist guides posted on Roy's which advised visitors against tipping taxi drivers. My Italian friends always criticise me for tipping in restaurants over there, particularly in family run establishments where, I'm told, a tip can actually be taken as being mildly insulting.

Could you ask these Italians if a rumour I heard was true? An elderly man I know who has many debilitating ailments was making his way from a pub on the seafront in Bray last weekend to a chipper before heading home and he met a troupe of Itai students walking arms-linked who categorically refused to make way for him despite his ponderous gait and angry expression. He shouted at them to "have some manners please" as he could not step out of the way. One of the troupe, a young man about 20 or so, told him in English that they are all told not to make way for natives as it can be interpreted as a sign of weakness by the indigenous Paddy and Concepta.

He was floored by this and rang my brother who reported the incident to all the language schools in the area on Monday gone. My take on this is that these ignorant cunts are rolling in money and think very poorly of us because of our obsequiousness towards the EU. His phone is damaged as it was knocked form his hand at the time. Experienced this myself before but being able-bodied and powerful I tend to just plough through groups of arrogant young-ones without a second thought. Maybe you could ask them if they think that lowly of us?

This happens alot when I'm out without the dog.Irish kids make way but the immigrant kids up in Blanch and Brazilians where I live now don't seem to be aware of what they're doing. They'll keep walking two or three across until you move on to the road. The only way to wake the cunts up is to eyeball them like a lunatic. Not being considerate is what might get them a hiding or worse at 2am on Dame street.

Nobody in the media seems to be talking about the vast number of Brazillians living here. From what I can see in the city center they're the only folks walking around.I like them as they're usually freindly but there's more of them than us at this point. They're not all supermodels either.I'd say if ya removed the Brazillians our rental problem would go away tomorrow.

These are young students I'm on about though, not economic refugees or chancers of any kind. They're more or less fluent in English after school and come to Dun Laoghaire and Bray as part of a yr out doing English i think. I'd say if they did the same to some old fella in Rome or Milan they'd be kicked stupid by the locals.

Italy is quite a large country, LL. It's not like Ireland where everybody knows everybody else so the odds of my Italian friends being able to provide any definitive response to your desired enquiry would be quite remote. However, in my experience, foreign students are rarely concerned with the successes and failures of our brief attempt at home rule. One would imagine this generation see Ireland as an Amsterdam for poofs.

Homosexuals tend to have basic manners in my experience...maybe they are just tramps.

The Italians could yet sink the EU. The Brexit sideshow looks to be overshadowed. That's not idle gossip picked up in any Forte chipper either. From the Express paper recently.

When Italy's new government is fully formed it will mark the first time a founding member state is ruled by a eurosceptic alliance in EU history.

And Rome looks set to abandon every federalist project dreamed by French President Macron, as the government “contract” signed by the future ruling coalition clearly shows a disdain for Brussels’ regulations.
