We done loads of them, and tomato’s from seeds. They’ve all grown bar 2 things.
Tomato’s, cherry tomato’s, cucumber, mixed salad, thyme, basil, rosemary, spring onions, radish, carrots, spinach, aubergine, dill and a few others. Garden looks great I must say
Why bother growing them ?
As you can buy a bagful of the finished product fer cheaper in Lidl/Aldi than the cost of the seeds !

........I'm drinking a cup of green tea as I type, I had Muesli for my breakfast this morning and we haven't used the tumble dryer in about three years!

I was in Tesco Wilton on Saturday doing me shopping, I bought 4 sweet chili chicken drumsticks and seated myself outside in the shade to consume my meal. A middle-aged tattooed lady (From Belgium) seated herself next to me to have her own meal.
She sez to me; "Your dinner looks nicer than mine",
I look at her dinner; A bowl of Pasta like, Rice like stuff with a few Green bits in it,
I say to her; "Yep ! You may well live a lot longer than me, but I'm gonna have a lot happier life than you !".

Why bother growing them ?
As you can buy a bagful of the finished product fer cheaper in Lidl/Aldi than the cost of the seeds !
They were all free so it's cheaper than buying them.
Plus the little one loves seeing them.growing and the flowers coming out on some and then seeing the final results

It's a hobby, I guess... Like cooking, hunting or fishing - food you cook yourself always tastes better and it tastes even better again if you've grown/shot/caught it yourself too!

Grand, I got that Vikkiz and I will post em on to you.

Believe it or not but Sunflower seeds need neglect,
I planted about 16 seeds in 16 different small pots many years ago,
then I had a small tea-tray which only held 12 pots.
I moved that tray all over the garden so as they would have sunlight
and I watered them constantly.
The remaining 4 pots I put in to the garden shed unwatered with
barely no sunlight.
None of the 12 grew, but the 4 in the shed all grew !

The main trick is to keep moving them to a bigger pot
as the flower will only grow as much as it's roots will allow
and attach a bamboo cane with ties as soon as it reachs a foot tall.

It's a great flower to grow fer small kidz as the thing nearly grows
in front of you once ya get it going and of course getting it going is
the hard part, I think the best time to plant is in March but have a
google off that fer yourself.

The flower head dosen't even start to show until the thing is about
Four foot tall, but when it blooms, it is truely magnificent !

Best of luck with it !
