It wasn't Robin Givens that orchestrated Mike's downfall, but much more so her Mother,
Robin's Mother played them both so well with the elusive pregnancy, TV interview, Etc..
And they both walked away with a Ton of cash.

Mike was council scum and barely educated and an easy target.
Don King was the last thing he needed after Cus D'Amato died.
Cus D'Amato was the only thing holding Tyson in place and after
he passed, the rest is a sad history.

Tyson never denied he was battered in a fair scrap in Indiana while in jail......the film "Undisputed" is often seen as being based on him but somehow I doubt it as he was no boxer...just a hard thug reared on the streets in Brownsville. When he bit Holyfield's ear off he was fighting as he always wanted to,,,,,,,,,,,,,,on the streets.

Cus D'Amato  turned him round in the Catskills.
When Cus died that's when the decline began.

Granted, Tyson was a thug, but he was some awesome character in the ring.

I admire perfection in any sport wheter it be Nadia Comaneci, Walter Peyton
or Micheal Jordan and to me the young Tyson was perfection in the ring.

IF ONLY Cus D'Amato hadn't gone and died on him.

True about Cus but Mike only knew how to fight on the street....D'Amato trained him more psychologically to control his rage. I'm always surprised Tyson didn't turn to som e other money-spinner to make some dough.........a formidable street fighter......wide as he is tall and power to burn. Read several books about him and I didn't know he smoked until I read his own opus..Marlboro Lights and 20 beers cant set the fittest man back a tad.

If you're going to smoke cigarettes you might as well smoke big ones.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
