So I logged out of the Mytaxi app around 3pm yesteday and finished for the weekend.But the my GPS keeps getting turned on during the night and my phone says it's the Mytaxi driver app that's activating it.Why would it need GPS if I'm not logged in or working?

I need the phone on in case I need to be contacted.Family emergencies etc..Your driver app should sleep and not require anything when you are not working.It's a basic function of most programs.

Down load Shut app .when you close the my taxi app it still uses the locate app part of it to track you .Most apps dont shut off they snooze .Shutapp will sort it out .

Thanks.Im sure it's just a bug.It's just that GPS uses up so much battery.They could easily find me from the wifi or 3/4g signal.

tap your phone and see how many apps you shut are still active .

Ah sure I know how they work.But if you're logged out you're logged out.It's a commercial app it has no need be checking your location on your private handset.It's the battery usage that I'm concerned about.Probably just a bug.

have you ever read any of the hundreds of terms and conditions they dont give you a free app for nothing (Ermism)there are apps within apps or background apps as they are called use Shut App to knock themall off ,

Actually you CAN TURN YOUR PHONE OFF, I recently went out fer a few scoops with Korky from here and didn't bring my phone out at all.
I'm well pissed off of talking to the back of someones phone in the cab, I like to think that I bring a great deal of experience and worldly knowledge to any conversation in my cab and after recently joining the 100 Club of MyTaxi Regular customers;

I reckon that I am pretty good at the Auld Bullshite !
But if'n anyone pulls out their phone to text someone else during our conversation, then the conversation ends there.

My GPS is off after I've logged out earlier in the day but the app turns it on by itself without me even logging in because I'm asleep!I'll stick up a screenshot next time.

I know I dont actually like the fukking things.But if you're the contact number for an elderly or sick relative you need to keep it on.No need of landlines anymore.I use mine mostly for browsing the web instead of a computer.
