Planning to get back to work tonight for a few hours. I'll probably work Friday and Saturday nights and maybe take a leaf out of Vikkiz's buke and file my tax return and SUSI grant applications on Sunday. I don't usually pay a whole lot of attention to traffic restrictions, opting to just follow whatever diversions are marked and/or comply with restrictions as I encounter them. Given the scale of this event I might do some advance research. Proper Preparation Prevents Inadequate Performance.

Nah,the missus ended up in hosp in Drog for a week,after numerous scans/mri,discovered it was a compressed disc at C6-C7 vertebrae,because her symptoms deteriorated the consultant asked the neuro team in Beaumont to review the MRI,they requested she be transferred by ambulance to Beaumont for surgery....which she's had,she's out n about recuperating....as i keep telling her...i put my life on hold!!

Good luck to her....had 2 ops on my on back in the last 20 months....not nice....best wishes. Lost the second crutch there a while ago after 14 months....anyway...good luck to you and her.

Thanks gents....yeah,she was in quite a bit of pain alright,could have been sorted sooner only for a GP to misdiagnose her in the first place,the team in Drog were just brilliant...left no stone unturned,actually found something else unrelated that they taking care of aswell....anyways,i've taken my life off hold...hence back here...typin bollox!!

The machines are no bother, it's the ironing and cooking that are my bugbears, ding dinners for the last few weeks myself, until she's back from hols on Sat. Good luck with the recuperation Hal
