She took a photo of the roof sign and tried to report it but she was told that there were 6 different Africans registered on that car so it's impossible to pinpoint the perpetrator. We all know that's absolute bolloxology but average wouldn't know any better, sounds like a cover up to me.

Reminds me of watching a documentary on one of the British channels a while back. My rural grandparents had shit lives & my parents did slightly better.  My parents, my siblings & I benefitted from being in the EU.

I don't think exposure to other cultures necessarily dilutes our own. In fact, the contrary could be true. I'm seriously considering having a go at learning the fiddle... the idea came to me at a Muslim wedding when the father of the bride introduced some of his cultural songs and dances and went on to invite any of the Irish guests to perform. There weren't too many there (well there were a few more in the bar, the reception room was "dry") but none had anything to offer. It woulda been great craic to knock out a reel on a fiddle or some such. Aside from that there's a weekly session down town that's open to anyone who wants to join in, could be good craic but I wouldn't want to make a fool of myself 'cos I know most of the regular musicians.
