While nobody would object to the scumbag in question being put at the mercy of the British judiciary - the same judiciary that convicted the Birmingham Six and the Guilford Four - allowing Gardai ignore procedure establishes a dangerous precedent, particularly given that an orangeman is calling the shots.

I read in one of the nationals that one of the Queen's subjects was summarily extradited from Bray to the UK without so much as an international arrest warrant being in place, never mind a court hearing. Is this what we should expect now that An Garda Siochana is run by a loyalist?
