There is some sort of reverence in this country to the absolute third rate Scottish football team Glasgow Celtic .I wonder if Miller had of played for the Republic and Glasgow Rangers if the same pressure would of been put on the GAA to open up their ground .Im sure Miller made a fair coin playing football and the family are well off .So if it was a testimonial to show respect why did it need such a large venue .As you know Belker Cork GAA can fight itself in the mirror so I wonder was there another Cork GAA agenda at play in forcing the pitch to be used for Soccer .
The basic facts John are that Turners cross soccer stadium holds 7,500 while Pairc Ui Chaoimh holds 45,000.
Turners Cross was the original venue but it sold out within minutes much was the popularitry of the man.
Cork folk do respect the dead and we like to show it.
