I can identify with many of those, particularly banknotes facing the same way and being completely free from dog ears. I think my approach to loading cutlery in the dishwasher differs somewhat to Tony's though. On the rare occasions that I am allowed load the dishwasher each subsection of the cutlery basket may contain no more than one of each utensil. This isn't madness, the rationale is that two of the same utensil in such close proximity may well restrict the effectiveness of the wash e.g. if two teaspoons come to lay flat against each other only the front of one and the back of the other will be effectively washed... although, in my case, I do wash everything before it goes in the dishwasher which might be a little bit mad but it makes sense to me as domestic dishwashers are much better at drying dishes than washing them.
