Your brain releases stress hormones, like cortisol, which then fire up excessive cell-signaling cytokines which alter your physiology. Suddenly your ability to regulate your behavior and emotions is compromised. Your ability to pay attention is compromised, your memory, learning, peace, happiness are all compromised.

Why? Because all that change has caused your system to be overloaded with stress. And excessive stress often causes us to withdraw in order to self-soothe, to try to cope, to try to slow things down and remove further stimulus since we’re already overloaded.

But then we get new stress: the stress of disconnection. Disconnection possibly from yourself, from others, your purpose, your place in the grand scheme of things, and even your relationship with nature. Today we see increasing chaos, distrust, aggressiveness, and many other behavioral challenges in our world due to disconnection caused by excessive stress.

And in stressful times, more than peaceful ones, we ache to be seen, heard, acknowledged in the midst of all this isolation. We ache to belong. In my leadership and culture coaching work I am seeing tremendous amounts of isolation caused by the stress of change.

I don't get many who worry me much anymore except for the odd scrote on metaxi. I put it down to working a radio in working class areas. I had a baptism of fire working around sherrif St, Finglas, ballymun, Coolock, swords and malahide.Met more cunts and druggies when I worked in malahide and swords than in the aforementioned rough areas believe it or not..

Is there not a shield taxi drivers use, to stop this kind of attack from back seat passengers? I never let a lone passenger sit right behind me.

Also I had no light in the back of my taxi, installed a really bright light there, if the guy had a light in the back of the taxi, at least it would show the attacker better on camera.

It will probably become mandatory for these driver division partitions to be installed if these attacks keep up

Nothing stopping anyone fitting one of those screens if they want to. Wouldn't be into it meself but wouldn't rule it out in the distant future when the place is destroyed with meth heads etc.

the safety screens are well over due. but they'd have to be mandatory for everyone.
if you were a lone wolf out there with one you'd be fucking damned with cunts opening their mouth.
never mind being attacked, it would keep loud blabbermouth cunts out of your ear not to mention acting as a buffer against smelly dirtbird tramps.
