GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING THE murder of Amanda Carroll are appealing for witnesses and information following her death.

Between 11.30pm and midnight on the night of Saturday 20 October a dark coloured taxi picked up a man and a woman in the vicinity of Synott Place and Dorset Street. It brought them to Quarry Road.

Investigating gardaí are appealing to this taxi driver who may have taken the man and woman to Quarry Road between those hours, or any person who may have information, to contact gardaí at Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.

In the 80`s, girl was murdered in Manor St. after leaving Rumours.  Driver remembered the fare to Manor St. Another driver remembered picking up a sham in Manor St. to Blanch. He was able to give the Garda a choice of 4 houses where he dropped. Both cars were examined and evidence collected. Guy was caught and convicted.

Murder wasn't so common in Dublin in the 80s so there was a shock factor that probably encouraged folk to be more civil minded. These days folk seem to be happy to look the other way.

 Answer to that is easy if they take them out their replacements might be trigger happy twords cops or Russian or armenian or columbian .As long as their all ratting on each other the gards have it under control .
