Ebbs will buy up Rickies and rent them out so will others all that will happen is a different type of owner will enter the business .reps asked for regulation they got regulation .What do you think would happen if they regulated the FUCK trade would there be more or less Prostitutes ?In general regulation leads to more participants .I bet lots of towns and Cities outside Dublin will see a boom in Rickshaws now that they are officially legal.

What happens if you're stopped by the Gardai?

Leg it...and dump the bag of yokes before you're apprehended!!

mytaxi will probably use them for short journeys... ideal for clients too pissed to be trusted with a scooter.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Motorised rickshaws to be banned. Those fuckers will be as fussy as anything. Fat people will be told to fuck off and walk or get a taxi. Can you imagine pedal power trying to get up a hill in Dublin or over the canals with 2 fat passengers

To be fair to Minister Ross, he was in favour of a ban.

That's what Minister Ross wanted to do. NTA must have misunderstood it's remit when it was told to conduct a survey.

I put in my submission that the NTA and cops wouldn't have the expertise to know or test the power outputs on various leccy motors, causing confusion amongst enforcers.Glad they took it onboard but would prefer a complete ban.

I know  some of yis are thinking we're safe because they've got no leccy motors but yis underestimate how fast and far a strong cyclist with decent gears could move one of those rickies. The leccy ones are for lazy folks like me.

There's a few brazillian burds that could benefit from just pedal power...or their arses are storing the electric motor!!
