Zone 18
« on: November 10, 2018, 05:31:17 pm »
What's the fucking story with mytaxi clients from both T1 and T2 being directed to Zone 18? I picked one up a couple of weeks back and it cost me €1.50 to get out of the car park - Zone 18 is in the T2 surface car park. Got another from T1 last night but he rang me to make sure I was collecting him as three drivers had already accepted the job (only going to Premier Inn, Airside) and cancelled without contacting him. Obviously, when he rang I told him to stay at the last line of bus stops instead of walking all the way to Zone fucking 18 and all went well. However, he told me it was the app that directed him to Zone 18... mytaxi have already told me that we're not allowed pass parking fees on to riders under their terms and conditions so why the fuck are they directing riders to a paid car park?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Which is why i can't be arsed picking up at the port, spend more time trying to locate passengers who seem to make their way to the taxi pick up areas and wonder why you can't pick them up there...it's that way to protect the status quo of permit holders....DAA don't care about their "guests" whenbit comes to getting away from the airport.

Never been charged coming out of T2 enclosed car park if less than 10 mins. Pre prepped message tells them where to meet i.e. "Text me when you have your luggage, andpress level 1 on lift, and I'll be there when doors open" Always charged €3 now however coming out of T1 car park.

I was charged the €1.50 on 26/10 pick up at 00:05 - I was in and out with 2 minutes.

Is the "enclosed" car park the multi storey?

Handy to know. I picked up the parents there a while back and it charged me €3 so I assumed that the free period was gone, I musta been more than 10 minutes.

Strange that they charge for the surface and not the multi storey though and stranger that mytaxi expect drivers to pay for their riders. They can go fucking fuck themfuckingselves if they fucking think I'm fucking doing that afuckinggain, the fucking fuckers.

Oddly enough I was picking up in the port the other night and as usual I rang the customer on the way into the port and told him to be waiting up at departures in T1, he said he's already in zone 18.
I told him I don't have fucking clue where he is and if he wanted a taxi to get his ass up to the departures
Mr. T-bag to you

Zone 18 charges me €1.50 for up to 30 minutes
Multi stores charges €3 for any amount.
I just charge the customers.

My taxi created this issue.

All cab companies allow us to charge customers as does Uber.

Yeah I snake in where the city link coaches park, ring them on the way and it should be a seamless pickup. Don't do too many of them mind you so don't know how long you'd get away with it if you were constantly at it.

Is Zone 18 the equivalent to Area 51 for alienated taxi drivers
