Lost Glasses
« on: November 14, 2018, 11:07:59 am »

Hi, I left my glasses (without which, I'm blind) in the back, righthand seat of a taxi we took from St Stephen's Green to Carpenterstown (Bramley), last Saturday night/Sunday AM. They've a red frame. We arrived home 2AM, after driver dropped a friend of ours off on Cunningham Rd, side of Phoenix Pk.

We didn't get a receipt, so we've no more information about the driver other than his name is Alex, he only works nights, he's Eastern European and he was driving a Peugeot 'Partner' car (we think). I've rung Blanch Garda Station (nothing), Store St (told me to report it at Blanch) and even went back to Stephen's Green on Monday night and talked to each of the 12 or so taxi drivers there at 7.30PM. One of them let me put a message up on his WhatsApp taxi group (thanks Zee). Can anyone please advise what else I should do to try to find them? Thanks very much, Mary

According to our records there's only a handful of drivers who satisfy the criteria, Mary. Click the following link and click each drivers name to view a photo if you think might recognise him. Either way it might be worth contacting Global Taxis as plates owned by Global and Intercity are part of that group.

If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
