The Republic of Ireland are on the search for a new manager this morning after parting company by mutual agreement with Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane.

I'm not a huge soccer fan but from listening to those who follow the game closely I suspect many will be happy to see the back of Keane. I guess great players don't always make great managers... in fact, I was working Monday evening and there was less than no buzz around the Ireland game... even the hardened drinking class northside dubs were talking Rugby at me!

Get Rednap put a bit of fun back into it .I bet most of the Half Irish part bollix lioke players who think they will /might get a CAP England would play for Harry .O Neill was the most over raten man in football both as a player and a manager and Roy is just an angry one trick pony he would be better off retiring from football and training Whippets or Pigeons .Great footballer but poor excuse for a man .

Chris Hughton @ 25/1 looks inviting Mick is only 1/1 with Stephen who the fuck is that Kenny @7/2 second fav .Harry is 14/1 .The team is fucked needs rebuilding so that more or less rules Mick out and Kenny who would want to come and play for them .Needs to be somebody who attracts players who is likeable So Harry or Hughton .Dont suppose Delaney will be asked why he gave them a new contract after taking a beaten off Denmark worse than a Kinihan mobster would hand out to a Junkie .

Brian Kerr needs to take control of the FAI. Delaney is the Bugsy Siegel of soccer.

I love that brian clough quote about not being given the England gig.
the FA were worried that if they hired me I'd get rid of them all. they were cute because that's exactly what I would have done.

I would think Delaney has a little Black book on every official in Government in Ireland above a Grade $ civil servant .He gets away with absolute incompetence and is better paid than the President of the Country .Whatever happened to the Olympic ticket scandal wasent he supposed to take over the IOC went underground faster than  a ferrett when that brown hit the ventilation system .

Correct. As one fat chef said to another, you'll never make it here as long as you can cook better than me.
