car credit for taxies
« on: November 21, 2018, 03:40:48 pm »
Looking at possibly changing me car .Most garages only offering 3 years and looking for up to 9% if you are buying second hand .Went into Sarsfield Kilmainhan he has a few nice yokes will knock 2K off the asking price BUT looking for 15% APR over 3 years on used motors if your a taxi driver .Unofficially a lot of garages have been stung by taxi drivers who dont keep up payments and insist on going to court for the garages to get a repossession order to take it back a lot of garages say its not worth the trouble as the car loses most of its value once its plated up and costs more than they actually get back .So unless you have cash or are a regular customer expect to pay through the nose for credit .

I wouldn't ask for credit as a refusal may offend. In the old days you always got a better deal with used notes in your pocket. I don't think that applies, at least not to the same extent, these days as dealers make extra notes selling finance.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Be careful of the "Money Laundering" rules . I think 10k in cash is the limit and after that the "Men/Women in Black" could come a knocking on your door to establish where you got the rent

I'm saving for when i have to change in Feb 2021,should have around 14k to play with which will probably get me another 4 yr old,on my current yoke i had to borrow 7.5 k over two years from BOI @7.9% or something like that,i wanted to borrow it over one year but two was the minimum, when i finished paying that loan in Feb 2017 i continued to put away that payment in savings for my next heap.

The credit unions also got badly stung by our amateur industry colleagues,
They also have tightened up on the loan criteria.
But they do a good rate for car loans, especially for the amazing taxi drivers who don't try fuck them over, and don't miss any weekly payments,
Then yill be be welcomed to avail of their credit.

CUs aren't as easy as they once were. I'm aware of several cases where they wanted Revenue paperwork to verify profit. Having said that the banks aren't as gullible as they once were - or, perhaps more accurately, as gullible as they chose to be - you won't necessarily get a €500,000 mortgage on foot of a letter from one of the unions these days.

When i was with my credit union in Finglas(since early 80's),i never had a problem getting a loan, was still a member when i moved to Drogheda but for handiness sake i switched to Drogheda CU...fukin mistake!!....i went to them originally for the 7.5k loan but they wanted 3yrs accounts,6 months bank statements...and my wifes P60?....wasn't arsed goin to that trouble,BOI lent it without any of that shite...there was no difference in the repayments even though the advertised CU rate was lower!!

Credit unions aren't worth a wank anymore. There are a few garages who can get finance for taxi scum. Sarsfield is one and md motors is another. You need a bit upfront as a deposit and proof of earnings ie 3 months bank statement. the credit is a bit more expensive than through a bank but beggars can't be choosers. They use this company afaik https://www.capitalflow.ie

Did she stamp your flute with the "Approved" ink stamper and tuck her phone number on a biz card between the cheeks of your arse.

A slab of lead  or a few length of copper pipe would be the nearest soft metal he could arrange,
